I live in Harrison County and I normally shoot at the White Horse Range but I know there are other ranges and clubs in the area. Are there any other shooters in my area? Where do you shoot? What clubs do you belong to? I'm would love to find some local Milsurp and maybe IDPA in the area.

We should definitely get the North Central WV faction out for a group range day!

Fairmont (WV Sportsmans and Firearms Assoc.) has military shoots intermixed with monthly trap and skeet competitions.

White Horse (Dick Whiting operated) is a bit of drive for me, but I have shot out there before in the conventional pistol matches.

Dick is a great guy and runs a good range. Its about a 1/2 hour drive for me. Where do the WV Sportsmans and Firearms assoc shoot?

WVSFA is just outside of Fairmont. Two skeet/trap ranges and a rifle/pistol range (200m). For skeet/trap, WVFSA can't be beat. It's a private club, but you can join if sponsered by a member. There is some safety training you need to complete prior to full membership approval.

I usually shoot at either family property or at a friend's property, both of which are about 10 minute drives for me.

I don't shoot in competitions at the moment, but the Mason Dixon Rifle Club often has shoots. Never been there but I hear the set up is okay. It's located just outside Morgantown.

I don't compete either but I think I would like to try it. Normally I just go out to practice. Usually, 4-5 times a month. I usually shoot 50-100 rounds with my carry gun and some rounds through one of my rifles (K31 or M69) Sometimes I like to bring my 58 Remington New Army and make some noise too.

What does it take to become a member at the Mason Dixon Club?
