OK,
well many years after deciding to do so, and months after starting the process (because I am slow, not the system . . .)

I got my CCH today!!!

I am looking for advice from anyone on a concealed carry holster for either Springfield Sub-Com XD 9 or full size 1911 for a medium build man. Location, well i dont have a preference. I am just starting to look and am overwhelmed at the choices out there

thanks

ST

Just in case you're not overwhelmed enough:

I like shoulder rigs. Vertical ones, especially. I've got a Vega rig for my recently repaired 1911, and it's worked well.
A lot of folks make vertical rigs - Galco's VHS comes to mind.

Have fun spending money. :D

I did quite a bit of research on my first IWB holster as well. The foremost reason I went with crossbreed was because they were one of the few that made holsters for my particular gun, but before I bought it, I read from several people that they were very comfortable and easily worn, they were right.

The kydex holster and leather backing makes for a great holster. The kydex maintains it's shape under your waistband, gun in or out, and you can't beat leather for durability and comfort against the skin.
