Homemade Brass Catcher

I really enjoy reloading. My problem is that with just one leg its a challenge to pick up the brass ejected from my autos. So, I made me a brass catcher out of an old t-shirt and a length of hot/cold PVC pipe from Lowes. It works even better that I had anticipated and it didn't cost hardly anything.

Here are the Pics:

Here is the thing put together. PVC and old T-shirt. The black clips keep it from sagging.

Here is the frame I made from the PVC pipe

Here is how I take the frame apart to put in in my backpack for when I go to the range.

It ain't patented so feel free use/modify my homemade brass catcher.

Great Idea! Here's my similar solution to the same problem. I had trouble with using cloth for mine, as it acted as a sail when the slightest wind hit it....would blow the whole thing over (it has a fairly large opening). So I decided to use old aluminum window screen instead.....works great! An added bonus is that my vision isn't obscured to my right, and I can keep an eye on the shooter to my right (for safety reasons). I highly recommend aluminum screen over plastic or vynil (it doesn't melt), and I think it has the added benefit of allowing cases to cool faster.

I like the idea of using screen. I may one day make a bigger one. The wind isn't a factor because I shoot indoors.

The c-clamp is a good idea, too.

What diameter pipe did you use?
