Most info on the Stevens 520 only lists it being available in 12 ga. Has anyone seen a 520A in anything but 12 ga.? I've only seen the Western Field model 30 SB562A in a 12 or 20 ga. and have only heard of Western Field gun owners asking questions about their 12, 16 or 20 ga. guns. Does anyone own a Stevens 520 or 520A in 16 or 20 ga.? I know of a few Stevens model 200's (520 style gun) made from 1912 thru 1928 (only available in 20ga.).

Good question , and I have to say I am unsure wether they produced the 20ga. (or 16ga.) under the Stevens 520 or 620 marked models.

They of course made the 520 and 620 in those gauges, but possibly only the ones done with the store brand markings ? I have seen only a few (and only ever owned one) of the 20ga. guns, and do not recall with certainty the markings.

I have a 20GA Sears model 30 in my closet, it's a real sweet shooter.

Welcome to THR, Daisy_mae!

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=112839750 - barrel only, for a 16 ga. 520-30.

I saw a decent 620 in 20 ga. the other day while shopping at one of the larger dealers in my area. The 620 is the 'streamlined' version of the old square stern 520. Same dealer had a 12 ga. Montgomery Ward Model 30. Both were overpriced and so both of them stayed there.

I have two 520s (well, a 520 and a 30) and a 620 in 12 ga., they are genuinely neat guns and i will not hesitate to latch on to any more I find in good shape at good prices.

I have several of the Stevens 200, 20 gauge pump shotguns. I used to hunt with a friend whose son shot a Stevens or Western Field 520 style 20 gauge. I'd like to latch on to a Stevens 520 in 20 gauge one of these days. Also another old 20 gauge pump, the Union Fire Arms Company Model 50 in 20 gauge.
