I was just wondering if anyone knew if all the new 870 Express Synthetics come with the forearm thats been lengthend so that when the action is open, it covers the loading port? I believe its the same forearm that comes with the ShurShot line up for the 870. I didnt see the basic black synthetic 870 on the Remington site with that forearm, just curious to see if anyone knows anything about it.
Thanks,
Sid

I just picked up an 870 syth. 18" ext tube and it had the lengthened forearm on it. As I understand it, all the new ones have it.

... or this?
Remington seems to be using a few synthetic fore-ends, even one with a pistol grip, depending on model.
Are you talking about the newest ones? I took a couple of pictures, though I didn't do one with the forend pulled back. I'm pretty sure that it would cover up the carrier and feeding area.
Yeah thats the one i mean. I ordered one and it showed up looking like that. I have shorter arms so I find the extended forearm very comfortable. The looks grow on you over time..
