I want a 1911A1 with night sights, extended beavertail, lowered and flared ejection port, all the modern features EXCEPT front slide serations and an external extractor. Also, I want this pistol to be blued and to have nice wood grips. Please help! Something like a Springfield Champion, except with a 5" barrel.

I'd recommend going with a new-production Colt Series 70 (http://www.colt.com/CMCI/Series70.asp) and fitting the beavertail, etc. yourself (or having a competent gunsmith do them for you). I don't think you'll find a standard production gun with all the features that you want.

Find a nice Colt/Norinco/Other gun makers name goes here" and have some work done on it, by a good smith. You get what you want.

Id like to go the other way.....I'd like to find a Commander with Front slide serrations :D
