I got my first one tonight, goodlooking tom about 25-30lbs. Killed it with my Rockriver AR using 55gr blackhills FMJ at about 20 yds. I couldn't believe that there wasn't an exit wound! I haven't decided what to do with it yet, its in the freezer now. I am definitely going to bleach the skull but I dont know if the hide will be any good. When I pull the hair some comes off, I was told that this means it will fall out if I tan the hide. Any suggestions?

you will always lose some hair its natural but it will keep any hair that isnt loose when you tan it

ifter i tan skins i like to get a brush and comb it to remove any loose hair

there will probably be considerable hair lose around the bullet hole since the skin has been stretched and torn
