homemade RANSOM rest grip inserts

anybody ever tried to make some?
they cost a bundle!
or does anybody have some they would be willing to rent me?
i have access to a ransom rest but i dont have the inserts.

CALDWELL HAMMR inserts would work also.

Nope. Haven't tried it. Ransom does sell a blank for do-it-yourself types for $54.00. Have you priced the Caldwell inserts? Midway has them for $34.99, including a cast-your-own kit. Caldwell inserts supposedly work on a Ransom Rest.

The only way I know to rent them is to buy them and use them and put them on eBay. Notice the need to fire settling shots suggests just clampng tight isn't the way to go.
