i try to clean my rifle after every time i take it to the range. it has a matte blue finish, so it's harder than some to keep it from rusting ect. as long as i keep a good coat of oil on it it does fine, but i have a hard time keeping the rifling clean i have wire brushes and stuff but is there any other way to keep the groves clean more effectively? foams? different brushes?.....whatcha got?

I've been using Wipe-Out foam, in conjunction with the Accelerator in my match rifles for the last couple years and LOVE it. Don't get the recent imitation, some of these are known to etch the bore.

Using an undersized brush (I usually just use a worn out brush of the same caliber as the rifle) with a solvent-soaked cleaning patch wrapped around it works very well.
