First I would like to say hi as this is my first post :)


I need to sell some of my handguns. I need to come up with some additional cash. I got a super super deal on a ranger bass boat.


My question is How much is a Colt Mustang blue (all steel) worth? its in excellent condition and is a great shooter. I NEVER had a problem with it. I had the original box and paperwork but for the life of me I can't find them.
I hope to get $250 - $275 for it. plus shipping from my ffl dealer. is it a fair price?

I also have a S&W 2214 .22cal L.R. excellent condition with box and papers


and a S&W Mod 637 Airlite 38spl +P revolver in as new condition I only purchased it a few months ago.

whats a fair price for these firearms? I need to sell these asap. I only have a week to come up with enough cash to buy the boat.

I've bought and sold a number of Colt .380's and you should definately get more than $275 for it if it is any kind of condition. In fact, I'll give you $275 for it right now, sight unseen. But I think I'd be stealing from you.

I try to buy 90%+++ guns for $400 or less, and A(s)NIB w/box and papers for under $600, but it's getting harder and harder to find them for those prices.

I haven't seen a Government 380/Mustang/Pony/Plus II for sale for under $450 in quite some time. I would expect to pay at least that for a 95% gun with box and paperwork.

Check GunBroker, Auction Arms and Guns America on the web to get an idea of what people are asking for comparable guns. I think you'll be surprised.

Good luck, and don't forget to send me a PM with a pic or two if you really decide to sell it. I probably won't offer you the most you could get, but it would be quick.

Thanks snake for your advice. Someone also emailed me stating I could get more for it. Another person also emailed me wanting to buy it but he cannot complete the deal before next weekend. I suppose I could sell it for more but it would proberly take longer to get more. I need to sell it and have money in hand by next saturday or my super boat deal will be lost. If I don't get the money by next saturday I don't need to sell the firearms at all. You know what I mean? lol
