I'm looking to purchase a Bushmaster A3 Target Rifle 20" barrel for yote hunting.

Anyone shooting one of these in competition and or off bench and what kind of accuracy can I expect?

I don't want the Varmit or Pred. models.

Thanks,

Turk

If you're talking the NM version, at least 1 MOA out to 600 yards with iron sights. That's the minimum necessary to shoot X's with a perfect hold.

Have one of those, if you are talking about the ones with the 1:9 chromed barrels.

Never got it to shoot much better than 1.5-2moa.
Replaced the barrel with a PACNOR barrel from White Oak and installed a free-float handguard, it now shoots <0.5moa. At the very least, I would change the handguard to something freefloating.

chromed barrels are good for a auto gun, but not matches cracked butt is right. I like the Rock River NM my self.

Didn't get much more than an inch and half out of mine either till I tried 24.5gr. of H335, cci small rifle magnum prime,55gr.nosler ballistic tip,and lee collet neck sized winchester brass. The rifle and load went near hole for hole @ 100 yrds on the third reload.
