Has anyone tried the new Kimber Rimfire Target? If so, is it reliable. It is sure pricey.

They are just a Ciener top end on a kimber frame. I like my kimber 45 and I had a ciener top end for it for awhile It shot well but I would never buy just the kimber 22 pistol, too much money. Mark

It is VERY accurate - It is VERY reliable (until 250 rounds or so during breakin)... Kimber made some small changes from the Ciener design - namely upgrading from Ciener's cheap solid billet magazine to new high tech thermal engineered polymer (plastic).
Now why in the world would someone make a change on a $700 1911 to provide plastic magazine? Keep in mind that is a rhetorical question because I think I know the answer... and it ain't for reliability, customer preference or appearance...

My wife bought one (we got a very good price - kind of an introductry promotion) and we finally went to shoot it today. It is so light that it is kind of hard to get used to. She had a few problems getting the slide to go into battery until she started hanging on to it like it was a 45. Functioned OK then.
Bottom line, she doesn't like it. We're probably going to sell it. It worked - we were just kind of...underwhelmed.
