A Polish special forces soldier, at center, is flanked Sept. 3 by soldiers representing other countries in the U.S.-led occupying coalition during a handover ceremony in which U.S. Marines handed over control of a patch of central Iraq to a Polish-led multinational force.

I don't know enough about them to be any more specific than that.

the rifle is a wz. 96 Beryl. it is similar to the AK-74, but it fires the 5.56 NATO. round. here's the website i found it on.
