i may buy one for home defence and a little hunting. my brother in law says his works fine and i have gone with him to shoot. we ran a couple hundred low brass shells through it without malfunctions.
my 870's jam quite a bit, maybe im not good with pumps.

I have a friend that has had a field grade CD auto 12Ga for many years and has put thousands of rounds through it. Recently the nylon bolt buffer cracked in the receiver after his son had shot heavy 3" magnum shells. A call to CD had a new improved material buffer in his hands in a couple days, no charge. My friend is mechanically inclined and changed it himself and the gun is up and running. He recently purchased another Charles Daly field grade auto in 28ga. and it shoots great. I finally got him to reloading his own because 28's are definitely not cheap. Kudos for Charles Daly.

My friend has one of the cheap, black synthetic autos. He got it a 8 or 9 years ago for $199. What an unbelievable deal. That gun has been treated like crap, cycles everything from light 7/8 oz to 3" magnum loads, has had thousands of rounds through it, killed a dump truck load of birds, and has NEVER jammed. The finish is durable as all get out. It's just the perfect beater shotgun.
