I've got a S&W M&P 15 and Remington 1187 Police. I'd like to put them both in a single hard side case. I'm thinking about a Storm iM3200. According to the Storm website the interior dimensions of the 3200 are 44 x 14 x 6. Anybody out there ever done done anything like this before? Will a pistol griped optics mounted AR and a standard configuration shotgun fit in a 14" wide gun case?

It should. My case is 12" wide and will hold two scoped bolt action rifles. Or a scoped rifle and a pump shotgun. Muzzle to butt in the case. Put your rifle and shotgun together and measure how wide a space they fill. The rifle mag will be out so it shouldn't take up too much space.

Yes. I suppose it may depend on the case. There are a couple variables though. How long are the rifles? Scoped? If I can get the right combination of rifles, I can squeeze three (without them touching) into mine.

IIRC, I have put my Garand, AK (with scout mounted Aimpoint) and M1 Carbine into mine. And on another occasion, I had my Mosin PU sniper (scope not mounted while in the case), AK with Aimpoint mounted and M1 Carbine.

one just like this took a pistol-gripped rifle and a straight rifle to the range for me this past weekend. neither was scoped but both could have been.

not cheap, but the case has two padded compartments like the one shown in the thumbnail, plus three outside pockets, exterior and interior molle strips, shoulder straps and back-pack straps.
