I am looking at getting holosight for my Ak-47 but I don't know which route I should go. From what I can tell my best options are either an Eotech or a Bushnell, any information regarding would be appreciated. Thanks

IIRC the Eotech and the Bushnell are the same sight, except the Eotech has a protective hood around sight. Both are excellent sights, but the Eotech's cover makes it more resistant to getting damaged. Both are excellent sights.
AR15.com would be a good forum to do a bit of research on optical sights.

Forget the Bushnell or Eotech and get a quality Aimpoint Red dot. It may cost a bit more, but when you factor in the battery life, quality of construction, and fit, Aimpoint is the way to go.

Camslam, I hear you on the battery life, but I am looking for something with a circular field with a dot in the middle. Easier for a novice such as I to track targets.

I have the eotech 512 f I love it I have used eotech products since day one, I have had a few problems but eotech has great customer service. In my 512 i run the aa lithuim batteries and they seem to last quite a while. I like the 1moa dot and the 65 moa dot it gives great target aquisition with the large glass. I sighted it in for 50 yards with my ar and it is pretty accurate out to 200. It shot real low at 300 that was all on a bench also. You will not be dissapointed.
