I just got into bows & bought a Martin Dream Catcher 60 lbs at 28". Shooting it is a work out. I'm thinking I'd like to pull 20-25 lbs. I'm looking at the Stick as a second fun bow. Also anyone have experience with Easton Legacy arrows?

The Stick is a fair bow. If you are at all handy, try looking at Three Rivers Archery Supply. They have great longbow kits REALLY cheap. Mostly pre-shaped. All you have to do is the final tillering to get a smooth even curve at the pull you want and the fit nocks and finish. Not hard at all and a lot of fun, too.

Thanks Big Elf. I went to the 3 rivers site. ~$100 is still a lot but looks good. I'll try Craig's List & the used scene. I do know I want wood & not some fiberglass youth bow.

check out archery talk's flea market area. A great many of the competitive bows are in that draw weight range and you can score some nice longbows too.

Also, tradgang usually has a nice longbow or two for sale.

You should be able to get a longbow used for just a few bucks. They're more expensive than recurves because of the romance associated with them, so people use them for wall hangers, but they can be bought used in that draw weight.
