How is raw brass formed into cases? My son asked me this and I had to admit I didn't know.
I'll bet someone here knows!:)

It employs an impact process. I think I saw it on the show "How's it's Made" some time this summer.

I always wondered how they were made. Now I'm cursed, after reading that I'll NEVER pass up free range brass again. Not that I do anyway, but now I'll search harder.
