OK, ML season is over; gonna do some upgrading/beautifying. Here's the deal: I have 3 MLs with plastic stocks - I hate plastic, but I got good deals on all of them. I want to upgrade all stocks to wood if possible. I've looked before for one of these with no success. Anyone know where to find wood stocks for:

1. Knight's Wolverine
2. Traditions Thunderbolt
3. Savage 10 ML II

Oooh, thank you - that sounds good; custom might work just fine if he can do it. Bought a youth-stocked Knights because I like the carbine 22" bbl, and got a good price, but it's already got a recoil pad on it, so I cannot add LOP just by adding a pad.

Quick sidebar: The adjustable trigger on this Knight's inline is just *UNBELIEVABLY GOOD*. I'm talking every bit as good as a Timney or similar. It adjusts down to scary-hair-trigger, with NO creep. I had to crank it back up a bit. Very interesting - most factory-adjustable triggers are pretty blehhh.

If a model was produced with a laminated or wood stock, then sometimes you can find them for sale.
One guy was looking for a wood stock for a TC Black Diamond and couldn't locate one through the regular dealer channels. Then one day many months later I stumbled across one for sale on eBay and alerted him. He was the only one to bid on it and won. Man was he happy! That was like finding a needle in a haystack, and he was shocked that I even remembered that he was looking for one.
Maybe you can call Traditions or the other companies to see if the laminated stocks were ever produced and if they don't have one in stock, keep checking the auction sites and trying Google searches.
If a gun gets rusted up, then folks will part it out.
Maybe the stock from a similar model can be adapted to fit.
Used and surplus stocks for all kinds of rifles are for sale at gunshows, maybe something else can be adapted to fit using composite material by someone with the right skills.
Maybe you could arrange to buy a 1/2 finished stock from a stock making company that just needs to be inletted, or a factory second.
Or else try to find someone with a stock duplicating machine.
