Anyone else heard the rumors Smith and Wesson is gonna re-release the model 17 (K-22) in the next year?

I heard this from an "unreliable" source (at best) and was curious as to whether or not there was any truth to it.

Drooling over the prospect,

Rumour from some guy who knows a dealer who visited
S&W with other dealers....

March SHOT Show should see the
following additions to the CLassic line:

Model 14 K-38 Target Masterpiece 6" Bbl.
Model 17 K-22 Target Masterpiece 6" Bbl.
Model 18 K-22 Combat Masterpiece 4" Bbl.
MOdel 57 .41 Mag 4" & 6" Bbl.

& some model on the J-frame
a 6 shot in .327 Fed Mag.

& a long awaited SW1911 in 9mm Parabellum

I'd like some of the others but an 18 was my
first handgun and I sold it a long time ago, it'd be
nice to have another.

BlindJustice,

You ask, and you can receive.....http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=115164337

Looks nice, no lock or MIM, and no doubt cheaper than a new one.

You won't beat that price with the classics IF they release a Model 18.

I'm saving for a model 14 and 17 if they do follow through on this.

Guess I'm a ludite, but I just love blued steel.
