Greetings,

I would like to mount a night vision scope on my AK side tactical rail or install a front rail on the handguard. I already have a cheap red dot installed on the side tacticval rail and I like it very much. The only bad thing is that each time you clean the AK, you have to remove the side rail and it is a little bit tricky to reinstall it with the same zero.

Anyway, can anyone points me on a good night vision scope (Can ATN be one?) that I could mount on my AK? And where would it be better? I know if it is on the handguard rail, I'll need one with a long eye relief.

Thank you

Hey there. I recently sold a gen 1 ATN Paladin night-vision scope. It worked very well on a Rem 700. I dont think any of the ones I've seen will work in a long eye-relief situation. All of them (again, that I've seen) use a very short relief and an eye-cup. They also sit very high, and require either 3/4" or 7/8" weaver-style bases.
The scope worked very well for me though, in my application.
Sorry I can't be of more help.

What kind of price range? THe cheap $100 gen !'s are pretty useless IMO. Gonna run you at least a grand for good stuff.

Hi,

Do please take a look at our systems. At a minimum, a Gen 2 is to be considered for any serious NV work. Hope this helps.
