Has Firestorm found an importer yet? For their .45 1911? If so please tell me who. Thank you.

The current Firestorms are made in the Phillipines and are no relation to the Spanish guns. Firestorm is the importer's name.

FWIW:

My understanding is that the Bersa 1911 pistols were made for them by LLama, (now out of business).

The Llama made 1911's were iffy at best, and were not considered up to the quality you would expect in a Bersa/Firestorm pistol.

Check out www.bersatalk.com should you have an interest. I'm sure those folks will be happy to answer your questions.

The last time I was over there the recommendations from the majority was NOT to buy the Llama made 1911's..

But hey, the situation might have changed.

Best Wishes,

Jesse

If it's a Firestorm branded llama 1911, then avoid at all costs. Mine fellt apart in my hands.

But, i picked up a newer Firestorm the other day at the gun store, and the quality seemed decent. But, I still couldn't get over that first one.
