Sig 226 .40 s&w shooting 2 FOOT groups
General Disarray
November 4, 2008, 05:04 PM
I bought this 226 at a gun show this weekend and just got to take it out. It's spot on at 5 meters and even at 10 it only spread out minimally. Then back at 15 meters it spread out to a few inches; I put it on a rest at 25M and the pattern was like 2 feet wide. What could possibly cause this? A certified Sig armorer just happened to be there and he was baffled after he tried with the same results. Anyone....?

*Bad ammo?
*Barrel crown damage?
*Bulged barrel or flaired muzzle from a bore obstruction?
*Loose front or rear sight bouncing around in the dovetail?
*Both you and the SIG armorer had a bad hair day at the same time?
