This will be my first hunting season for bowhunting and I need all the help I can get.

Is it really useful to have a peep sight or can I get away with out one? thanks

I shot for many years without one- shoot better with one.
My opinion at this time is:
on a traditional bow- never
on a compound bow- always

On a compound you need some type of eye alignment device. The timberline No-Peep is my favorite, but a peep is more common. I prefer the 2 way shurz-a-peep. Remember to keep you eyeS open.
