I've been looking over SA's web site and noticed that they are now offering the XML light that should fit any standard rail.
Has anyone ordered one of these yet?
I noticed that they have pics of the loaded operator and TRP with lights, but neither picture shows the XML

I checked one out and they are made for the "sub-compact" series of XD pistols. Yes they will fit any standard light rail, however, your index finger will not be able to reach the activation switch bacause they will mount to far forward on any model except the sub-compact. Hope this helps.:)

I just picked up an XD9 subcompact this weekend and it came with the light on it. Its pretty bright for a little light. It adds some bulk but very little weight to the gun. I doubt I'll ever carry it with the light, but when it's around the house it has it on.
Texas Bob is right about the switch being too far forward on a longer barreled gun to activate the switch with your index finger. That should only be an issue if you want to use the momentary switch though. (Move the switch one way its momentary, move it the other and it locks on.)

Thanks for the replies--they are helpful. No wonder that I only saw the light on the smaller framed one...
