High Standard revolvers were never to the same level of quality as their autos ( which were great ). But they do alright as plinkers etc. If it really checks out OK, I would buy it for a fun gun. Quantrill

Depending on model and condition, that sounds like a pretty fair price. I've heard that they have short life spans, but that was on the .38's and such. I was looking at LNIB Crusader .44mag at the last gun show, guy wanted $950 for it. Can't blame a guy for trying I guess.

I'm jealous! I've seen one or two Crusaders in my entire life, and both were considerably more expensive than that.

A High Standard .22 Sentinel for $89 sounds about right, although I'd start dickering at $69. I've never understood how the company managed to sign its name to both Sentinels and Victors. Sentinels are homely little things, but would make good plinkers and kit guns.

I have four Sentinels, in 2", 4", 5", and 6" barrel lengths. They are good shooters and lots of fun. I usually carry one when fishing, and if it falls in the water, it won't be a tragedy like losing a Smith & Wesson. If I saw another good one priced at $89, I'd jump on it with both feet.

I have a Sentinel MKII that I picked up for $50. I can shoot better with that than my Kimber Pro Carry HD II, I don't know why, always seem to be a bit low and left with the Kimber, but spot on with the High Standard
