What's a bayonet for a 91/30 worth?

I ask because I bought a 91/30 not too long ago and the guy said he had a bayonet for it somewhere but couldn't find it at the time. He told me he would find it when he went to the next gun show and unpacked his trailer. Well that was a while back and still no bayonet. I've kept calling and now he's offering me an amount of 7.62 x 54 ammo for what the bayonet is worth.

So what should I do? Should I stay on him about the bayonet or take whatever ammo its worth?

Funny thing about those Bayos, if you buy them with the rifle they practically throw them in for free, but if you try to find one by its lonesome it's a whole new story. I've been searching for one for a few years now, but the cheapest I've found is 40 bucks. Doesn't make much sense when I can get a rifle with the bayonet for $99.

The cheapest I've seen is $40. I believe it was HERE (http://buymilitaria.com/mn_htm_files/mosin_nagant_rifle_parts_&_accessories.htm) under 91/30 accessories.

Although I wanted to try to make a weight to duplicate the bayonet so my 91/30 would shoot lower, because the local range doesn't allow non-folded bayonets. Anybody know the weight of a 91/30 bayonet?

The thing is, the original bayo has a serial number matched to the rifle. OTOH, he may never find it.

I am pretty sure that SARCO had them for $19.95 in a recent Shotgun News.
