Well, guess they cannot even wait to get sworn in to start talking about it. Here comes the "Change"! For those of you that said it wouldn't happen here you go. This would mean no more black evil rifles for you or your grand kids. We will be luck if there is even a grandfather clause in it.

This is from the office of the president Elect!

Address Gun Violence in Cities: As president, Barack Obama would repeal the Tiahrt Amendment, which restricts the ability of local law enforcement to access important gun trace information, and give police officers across the nation the tools they need to solve gun crimes and fight the illegal arms trade. Obama and Biden also favor commonsense measures that respect the Second Amendment rights of gun owners, while keeping guns away from children and from criminals who shouldn't have them. They support closing the gun show loophole and making guns in this country childproof. They also support making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent, as such weapons belong on foreign battlefields and not on our streets.

That was posted from the Campaign site well before the election and it was already posted in Activism with a link to the campaign website, so there's nothing new there.

Kinda old news... but frightening nonetheless.

Do you guys think that they can nullify the grandfather clause at all in order to confiscate our guns?

They can put anything they want to in legislation. The anything usually affects whether or not it gets sufficient votes for passage or gets out of committee.

I would not be surprised that we get some sort of registration requirement for those "terrible" assault rifles. Watch the news and makie your own preparations.
