Congrats !
When you taste that Elk meat it won't matter how big the horns were.
Good Job !

Nice one. I might go for a bull next year. I have better chances drawing and harvesting a cow though. Where were you?

Nice bull! As far as I'm concerened any elk is a trophy...especially any bull! (With the exceptions of those killed on the hunts where you spot 'em while riding around in a pickup, then get out and shoot one) I find it interesting that among do-it-yourself elk hunters, you rarely hear the phrase: "What'd he score?" Elk are hard work. Be proud of yourself!

Nicely done. Back in my intemperate youth when "horns ruled," I still fondly recall my sainted Father coming out, looking at my bull, and saying "Bet those antlers will be delicious." EVERY elk is a good one. Congratulations!

Gorgeous.
What's with the antler criticism??? Looks impressive enough to hang for me.
I've GOT TO GET OUT next year.

No criticism implied or intended . . . as stated, "EVERY elk is a good one. Congratulations!" Ask the guy who has never bagged one or didn't get one this season. And I'd be right proud of the one pictured. Now, if your intent is to be confrontational or to cast aspersions on my departed Father . . . don't go there, top.

I always thought an elk about 17 months old would be perfect eating.
