If you need to return a handgun, can you ship straight to the FFL or do you need to bring the gun to a local FFL and have them ship it? I've heard conflicting reports. Thanks.

Shipping a firearm - THR (http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=323555)

Some FFl holders won't accept guns from non licensed individuals. This is a business decision on their part, and not a law.

If you need to return a handgun,

Return it to whom? If it is to the manufacturer, then they will return the gun to whomever shipped it to them. If you send it directly to the manufacturer, they can return the repaired handgun, or a replacement, directly to your doorstep. If you choose to take it to an FFL, then the repaired gun or replacement will be sent back to them.
