I was just thinking, could obama ban importation on weapons and thus ban BP Pistols without knowing he banned these old style guns. Should I be worried and be buying more of them, or are BP's protected because they are not considered firearms by the federal government.:scrutiny:

I don't know how BATEF regulates BP as imported firearms. Yes, he could, like Bush Sr did, stop imports from coming in by executive order. Remember Norinco? Makes me kinda nervous, considering my favorite stuff is from the Czech Republic.

I would not worry about it. BP arms aren't considered firearms...and any ban would set off such a firestorm that would make a nuke look like a firecracker.

Anything is possible but I doubt it. They would have to impliment some way of registering and changing their status to a firearm.

Once the mass burning of effigies in protest of Obama reaches epidemic proportions, that will reduce his power of persuasion and ability to solve other critical issues, making him the lamest duck of a U.S. President in history.
So let him just try to go ahead and make our day! :fire:

Well, PEBO is already planning on using Executive Order to change some things, right off the bat:
Obama to use executive orders for immediate impact (http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5isOFwdbq0tsqatW6vJpkDRTI1gMgD94BKGR80)
So ask yourself this... can firearms be too far from his mind? How about ammo/powder bans?
On a good note, I think I may have made a BP convert today... My next door neighbor wanted to shoot my 1858. So I took it over and let him set off a few rounds, and taught him how to reload it.
Seems he may be putting in an order with his wife for Christmas.
( I figure it won't take long 'til the woman's ready to kill me, since both her husband and I have a thing for guns and motorcycles. :o )

The importation bans put in place by Bush I and Clinton are still in effect. I think there is little possiblity of Obama banning the import of BP guns.

I would guess that they would have to make them firearms (legally) first. I dont thing Eo would cover that. At any rate, muzzleloaders are gonna way down on his list. even if he atempts another assault weapons ban, I doubt it will include muzzle loaders. Especially since muzzle loaders aren't generally considered firearms by federal law. I kinda doubt he even knows what a cap-n-ball revovler is.
