I have a .223 varmint gun and live in indiana. according to state law it says that any person is allowed to give written permission to a predator hunter to hunt their land for coyotes. is this still in effect inside of city limits? i live on the very edge of a city, more a rural farming community than a city.

Look at your state laws for distances you have to be from roads and buildings to shoot. If you pass that test, go ask your city government (police) if there are any restrictions to shooting within the city limits. You may be outside of the no shooting zone, you may not be. It is best to ask someone local with authority a question like this.

Point out you will be shooting cat/dog eating coyotes.
