Hi Fellas, I'm the new guy on the block and have a question about a soar subject. I reviewed past threads and come to see that there are some negative feelings about the New England Firearms Pardner Pump. I mean no disrespect for those that feel these pump guns, that have come from abroad :D, are of lesser desire and ask your humble pardon. I would like to inquire,to those of great knowledge about these clones, information concerning replacement barrels. I have read some threads about how the 870 Express guns are very close in matching parts. I have a 20 gauge that I want to put a rifled slug barrel on. Can I get the Remington barrel to work on my import version?

H&R has the 24" slug barrels for the 20Ga PP. You have to send in your shotgun to get one. H&R claims they have to be fitted but they are a drop in fit. You can always go with the what you got and shoot rifled slugs.

I know very little about the 20Ga version of this shotgun.

MAX100, Ya I know H&R has the barrels if you send in your reciever, but I was looking for a quick fix without going that route. I want to shoot saboted bullets and want the rifling. I think it was in an old thread that it was mentioned the 12 ga. 870 barrels would work with some adjustments and thought maybe this would work for the 20 as well.

It will only cost about $10 to send in your receiver to H&R. Do it in the off season when you are not using your shotgun much.

The 12Ga 870 barrels will work on a 12Ga PP if you make a spacer to take up the space between the barrel lug ring and the end of the mag tube on the Pardner Pump.

Doesn't the 20Ga PP have a smaller receiver than the 20Ga 870? I believe it is a smaller gun.

Here is a PP 20 Ga slug barrel for sale.

You can almost buy a new PP 12 Ga slug barrel shotgun for what the barrel cost.

I have installed a Norinco 982 barrel on a 870 and a 870 barrel on a 982. They fit and the bolt locks up well. I have never made a spacer but it would be easy to do.

Here is a link about the Canadian imported Norinco made Grizzly 870 copy shotgun. It is the basically the same shotgun as the US imported Norinco 870 copy shotguns. It shows the Norinco made Grizzly 12.5" barrel & bolt installed on a Remington 870.

The barrel lug ring on the Grizzly 12.5" barrel is in the same location as the Remington 870 barrel. It is a interesting thread post.
