I keep reading posts about no carry posters in defferent states. I can't recall seeing a single one of these in any store I've been in. Am I just not seeing them?

I shop mostly in NH and MA. Maybe the MA people think nobody is carrying anyway, and the NH people don't care.

Has anyone in Northeast MA or Southern NH seen a lot of these signs?

It's only prevalent in states that have newly adopted CCW laws. The whole "blood flowing in the streets" analogy. After a year or so, everyone will forget and go about their business.

Florida was the first state to initiate a CCW law and now no one realizes that people can legally carry a concelead handgun. I have encountered folks that are astonished that there is such a provision. No one thinks about putting up signs. I work for a $20 billion Fortune 100 company based in FL and there aren't even any references in the employee handbook to weapons, allowed or not.

In Florida, there isn't a provision to prevent CCW by just posting a sign. So, even if a place has "no weapons allowed" signage, it kinda doesn't hold water. Granted, if its private property, they can still ask you to leave and you must.
At work, they do have something in the handbook about not carrying, even if licensed, on company property...then they go on to define company property. Funny thing is, a few years ago, then defined company property as buildings, facilities, parking areas, and any vehicle on company property. I think they got complaints, so now it says company vehicles specifically.

I've never seen one in Colorado. I'm sure there must be some in Denver, the city that's trying to take the state to court over the new shall issue law, but Denver's not my idea of a shopping destination unless it's unavoidable.

Saxon, I havent really been reading my ArkansasShooters list, how are things going in NLR? Is the council still getting pissy about the parks and such?

The local hospital had a sign on their front door that read; "You Are Welcome, Your Gun Isn't". Or something to that effect. They have the same sign on the back door, but I don't think that there is one on the emergency entrance.

They just recently replaced the doors on the front with automatic opening doors. The sign has not been put back up. I'm not sure if they intend to put it back up or not. I haven't been to the back to see if that sign is still there. Someone could have complained.

I see them sometimes, but honestly, I'm not looking for them as I just don't care about some stupid ten year old half readable sign on a mall entrance door. There's a "No weapons" sign on some doors at my local mall, but it's not legaly binding anyways as far as I know and I carry concealed, so as long as they don't know, it won't hurt them. And if I would have to use it while inside, they'll be glad I was there. The worst they can do is ask me to leave if I print and even if I do manage to get "made" although I don't know how that would happen, (I usually pocket carry anyways) I think I'd notice and probably leave in a hurry anyways. Can you tell I have no tolerance for stupid B.S.??? It's one of my defining traits. :D

NLR , you mean Argenta ;) Yeah still pissy. NLR passed a dealie where proper signage will go up stating NO CCW in certain areas of park. Dang lost the link...go to www.packing.org. -> AR -> see updates on legal.

Most hospitals ( I think all) have the proper signage stating NO CCW in central AR.

We have headaches here as you do in Fayettnam...

NO Gun Laws ... my preference.

The only "no guns" sign I've ever seen anywhere in New England was at the Rockport Diner, state route 90, Rockport, Maine.

There's no official signage in West Virginia for "no CCW." The only sign I've ever seen is in the lobby of the library where my wife works. It's pretty small and usually covered by some announcement or other.

The only sign I've ever seen is in the lobby of the library where my wife works. On a public library? Are they allowed to post on public buildings in WV? I forget if you guys have preemption laws like we do....
