Would anyone like to share their favorite load for a 6.5x55mm 140 gr Sierra Gameking? I have RL 19 & 22, H4831, Varget, VV N160 and N540 to work with.

I was planning on 47 gr of RL22, which does pretty well with the Sierra Matchking 140 and 142.

I have used RL22 and VV N160 with 139-142gr bullets in my 6.5x55 for 1,000 yard competition. If you have a modern commercial rifle (not a M94 or M96 Swedish Mauser), then start 1.5 grains below the following and work up, looking for pressure signs:

Case - Lapua
Primer - Russian KVB-7
48.0gr RL22

Case - Lapua

47.0gr VV N160

Thanks. I don't have Lapua brass or Russian primers, but will try 47gr of RL22 under the 140 Gameking in Winchester brass with a CCI BR primer.

The loads for SMKs and SGKs of the same weight are interchangeable and should have the same poi.
