It's been a couple years since I've looked into buying one of these, but I see now that Beretta is not offering a stainless version of the Stampede any more. Was there a reason it was discontinued?

Except for some classic pistols in my collection that I don't shoot, I try to stay away from blued guns. This will definitely be one that I shoot. How is the blueing quality on the Stampedes?

I don't know why.

But I do know that CDNN is still selling them for $399.99 in .45 Colt, in your choice of barrel length.

I have a Stampede Marshall which is a beautiful revolver. I haven't owned it or used it long enough to say how well the finish is going to hold up, especially the case-coloring. Mechanically, the revolver is a dream. Like you I long favored stainless revolvers but am definitely tilting toward the blued guns these days. My favorite revolvers now are all blued or blued and case-colored finishes. So far I have not had any finish problems. Just keep 'em wiped down.

I've never heard of CDNN (been out of it for awhile), but the web site I searched up only sells gun parts & accessories, not whole guns. Do you have a link?
