Threading a shotgun barrel for choke tubes

I have a H&R single shot 20 gauge for my son. He is too small to handle the 870 youth. My problem is that the H&R does not allow for choke tubes. I patterned the shotgun last Turkey season and it did well, up to 20 yards. I am checking to see if I could get a choke tube setup on the gun to improve the distance he could take a bird. The price isn't my hangup, a buddy of mine told me it would cost as much to get the job done as it would to buy a different gun. I want to see what the cost is and if it is even possible.
Can anyone recommend someone that would be able to thread the H&R barrel for choke tubes?

Carlson's will do it for $125 if your muzzle wall is thick enough for tubes.

You can also use a Polly chock if the barrel thickness isn't there, it might also be a little cheaper.

First, thanks to 10 Spot Terminator and RCModel for the info.
I debated and then decided to send the barrel off to Carlson's Chokes. The website indicated that for $141.50 (includes return shipping), Carlson's would thread the barrel, provide 3 choke tubes of my choosing, and 2 choke tube wrenches. I dropped the package off at the Post Office on December 4th and received the completed barrel and accessories on December 11th. The barrel work looks superb, with no scratches or lathe marks on the outside of the barrel. I have not had a chance to pattern it with the new choke installed, but I have no doubt that it will add 5-10 yards to my son's effective range come this spring.
