Well when you get that close of course it'll look like a lot. ;)

Luckily, I haven't been having any problems finding ammo.

Very nice. Stocking up is never a bad idea (regardless of the political situation), and I love pics of large quantities of ammo. Cleaning up afterwards must be a headache though :neener:

Nice pics.

You need more. The first thing I do when I get a big shipment of ammo is open them all, plug the drain, and dump them in the bathtub.

It's a miraculous feeling, but I fear that you don't have enough for this.

P.S. Your B&W was my background for about 15 minutes until I stumbled across this:

Thanks everyone! It's 1000 rounds of 7.62x39 Wolf. Feel free to use the pictures for your wallpaper/background :)

Hope you didn't buy it from Cheaperthandirt. :uhoh: You'd have to sell your friggin' gun in order to afford the ammo!

Are they still selling Wolf 7.62X39 for like $500 per 1000 plus shipping? :scrutiny:

I've got a 500 round tin on the way from SOG. Total price was $113.00.

Not sure. I got mine from Ammunition To Go the day before Obama won. It was $225 for 1000 rounds. I think it went up to $235 since then.

I paid $209 for 1000 wolf MC HP 7.62x39 shipped from ammoman a few days before Obama was elected. The price has went up to $249 already. If you didn't know: wolf military classic HP 7.62x39 uses the 8m3 bullet which tumbles, fragments, and expands alot compared to any other cheap round out there.

Cool! I got some of that Wolf in .308 Win!

It looks exactly the same. I think that look may be unique to Wolf.

Is your AK unfired? It looks brand new.

Now you have to pick it all up, and you'll have carpet fibers all over those pretty steel cases!

Oh well, it's an AK. They'll feed fine.

I store my 7.62x39 in empty peanut butter and honey jars. Don't even bother to clean them out. Never had a problem. ;)

If it is to be stored for a while (although probably not), isn't it better to keep it in the small boxes inside the original wrapped plastic? Do some of those wrappers develop tiny leaks during shipping and lifting from the front porch (or when wife schleps it to garage)?
I've been wanting to ask this dumb question for a while.

Kamerad 'gunNoob': maybe eeet eees better to puuht in aerrr-tight ammo bohx with some seeleekaa to keeep dry, nyet? Your guhn is verrry goood guhn.:)

That last pic is awesome - Should put that on a peice of plywood or some type of rough wood instead of the carpet and it'd be awesome for me. IF you could do this for me that'd be great of you. :)

Sheesh, if I dumped my 15 boxes of Wolf (20 each) ammo on the floor, I think the pile would look like that!

I think I'll just keep it in the original Wolf boxes. :)

Seriously, Don't burn it all up at once - SAVE SOME FOR LATER!

Check out the Remington Arms web site for their wall paper. They have one of clay pigeons and quite a few others that are pretty nice and high resolution. I use one of them as my wall paper on my user area so my wife instantly knows that I'm logged onto the computer. Looks good too!

The first one you posted on the wood is great, and I agree with what you said about the second one -- also looks overexposed as well. (washed out)
