Hello all.
I've read references to people needing to "tweak" their Z bar to get their Pro 1000s to function better.
How exactly do I do this?
My z-bar keeps coming out every couple of pullls.
Thank you for your help.

I'm a bit rusty on this, as I have moved on from using my Pro 1000 to a Load-Master--but, IIRC:

There are two issues here--one is whether or not the Z-bar operates correctly insofar as the bullet feeder runs smoothly and is drawn to the correct 'depth;' the second issue has to do with the bar orientation so it doesn't pop out.

The first problem is resolved by bending the center portion of the Z-bar to shorten or lengthen its stroke. The second issue is more one of parts wear at the frame mounting clip, or misalignment of the clip in the holes on the clip or the feeder.

1. Determine exactly what is happening to cause your Z-bar to come out:

a. does the bar come out of the frame clip, or does it come out of the feeder? If it comes out of the the clip, is the hole in the clip for the Z bar worn enough to allow that to happen easily?

b. Is the rod simply not bent correctly?--'correctly' in this instance means that the ends of the Z bar--the attachment points--are not oriented to keep the Z-bar in the attachment holes in the tab or the feeder.

2. So, look this over and tell us a bit more.

You may need to order and install a new clip if the Z-bar hole is worn a lot.
