so i just saw how .38s work in .357 revolvers, but my question is... what other revolvers can feed two different 'calibers'

.40S&W will go into 10mm Auto
Ummm, General, sir, you don't really feed .40SW in your 10mm semi-autos do you?
You are correct, of course; the bullets are exactly the same size, so it will certainly fit, but safely and dependably shooting them is another matter entirely.
I hate to disagree with a General and all, but that info is misleading at best.
ETA: Hehehe, I forgot I was in the "Revolver Forum." *embarrassed* Yes, if you happen to have a 10mm revolver, you'll be able shoot .40SW in it, too. Apologies! :)

This is the revolver forum though :P And General is absolutely correct, the Smith and Wesson 610 will fire either 10mm or .40 caliber.

I've heard of it for some years but never had the fortune to see one in person. If I ever do see it though and have the money to buy it, I will do so in an instant. Theres an interesting Popular Mechanics article about it http://www.popularmechanics.com/outdoors/sports/1277301.html . The last I heard was that Colt owns the patent now, but hasn't done anything with it. Every so often I let myself fantasize about buying the patent and making them in different configurations (snubnose, etc).

Or combine it with Dan Wesson's interchangeable barrels and Ruger's grip "frame" (from their GP100 series). I'd buy two.

Haha no worries, I don’t own, but I seem to have a taste for odd looking guns. And man there are some weird ones out there.….

Apologies for going OT, but when you've got a couple of hours (or days) to burn, Shofield3, you need to go here:
http://www.littlegun.be/index.htm
In particular, go to "curiosities". Amazing what's been tried in the past. Brass knuckle guns, folding knife guns, a finger ring gun, a tobacco pipe gun. Even a crucifix gun.

Number 1 - It's different CARTRIDGES of the SAME CALBER
hmm, about that statement of the .32 S&W family of rimmed cartridges
also being able to use the .32 ACP rimless cartridge .... that's a new
one.
Smith & Wesson .45 ACP Revolvers - they will all fire
the .45 ACP rimless cartridge with full moon clips making
extraction an easier/quicker operation than not using the
Moon clips. It will also chamber the .45 Auto Rim, a cartridge
created by Remington-Peters in 1920 - it has the same case
dimensions as the .45 ACP except it has a thicker than usual
rim in order to be positioned for the firing pin.

I believe 410GA will work with 45 LC as well..
Only in guns that are designed for both.
The .410 is longer than a .45 LC round. And although the .45LC may fit in some .410 shotguns, firing one will probably result in blowing the choke out of your gun at the very least.
Only interchange them in guns that are specifically designed to use both.

.45 ACP & .45 AUto Rim are designed for S&W .45 ACP Revolvers
PERIOD. You can also include the Colt M1917 They are all built with
an extra bit of gap between the rear of the cylinder and the
frame for room for the Moon Clips. The .45 Auto RIm's
Rim thickness is approx. 0.0910" A standard rimmed cartridge
such as .45 Colt, .44 Special, .44 Mag, etc. have rim thickness
of approx. 0.0615" Why the thicker .45 AR rim? So it is positioned
correctly for the firing pin strike. .45 Auto Rim cannot be fired
in a Semi-Auto - the rim would interfere with chambering as well
as it would probably not work with the extractor as well.
ALso, Ruger Blackhawk Single Action revolvers with the .45 Colt
and interchangeable cylinder for .45 ACP needs modification
before .45 Auto RIm could be chambered in it.
