Well i just got a used mossberg 835 12 gauge. Bought it for alittle over 200 dollars. I have a full choke on it right now, Can i shoot slugs through that? If not is there a special kind of choke i can shoot slugs through?... Sorry if its a stupid question, im not that good with shotguns.

iirc slugs should be shot out of no tighter than 1/2 choke.

If I remember correctly, the 835 has an overbored barrel. It would be a bad idea to shoot slugs regardless of choke out of an over bored barrel. I would get a slug barrel for it if you really want it as a slug gun.

although i dont recommend shooting slugs out of anything higher than a modified choke i have shot them through full chokes before

NEVER extra full though

Can I fire slugs through my 935™ or 835® vent rib, Accu-Mag® choke tube barrel?

No, 935™ and 835® field barrels (those with a ventilated rib) are "overbored," and the extra inside diameter may cause the projectile to "wobble" producing unreliable accuracy. A projectile may wedge inside the barrel causing an obstruction. Obstructions of any kind can cause damage to the firearm resulting in damage to the barrel and/or personal injury to you or those around you. Dedicated fully rifled slug barrels are available for the 935™ and 835® models. Other 935™ and 835® Accu-Mag® choke tube notes: Buckshot and steel-shot loads are not recommended for use with an extra full turkey tube installed.
