what bullets are you using? serria match kings will do as you discribe, because of the tip which is not constant. you should set you press so it lifts up the turret to the max each time to get a consistant bullet set.

The turret lifting is not a problem. Make sure the seating die is touching the shell holder when the ram is all the way up. That will make things more consistant. I load on the CT and my OAL is never off more than .003.

OAL is not a consistent measurement. Your bullets all have to be the same length, and with the ogive in the same spot. The bullet seater die seats from the bullet's ogive, not its tip. I suspect if you measured your length based on this, it would be much more consistent. OAL is important so your cartridges fit in the magazines, and not much else. Length from the ogive to the case head is what is really important. It is harder to measure though. A lot of this is academic anyway.
