I recently purchased a GG&G sling attachment for "Benelli shotguns", and it won't fit my Benelli M4:

Is there a trick in installation, or is this sling attachment simply wrong for M4? The recoil tube won't even go through the hole in the attachment.

Need help. Thanks.

Sorry, but the sling attachment you purchased will not work with the M4. It was designed for the M1/M3 trigger group (narrower than the M4) and thus *might* work with some milling. The downside with doing this is the pistol grip is threaded on versus bolted on as with the M1/M3. I know this because I already tried it on mine.

I have yet to come across a single point sling attachment worth a hoot. Mesa Tactical makes one that takes place of the roll pin in the grip, BUT... the nut used to secure the other side will eat your trigger finger alive (cuts/blisters/bruises/etc.) I and a few others have used this but quickly discarded it.

If you haven't already done so, check the Benelli Forums (http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/index.php) for further advice.

Good luck & enjoy your M4!:D
