I inherited a JC Higgins Model 98 gun from my father. I have tried to research on the internet without much luck. I know this is a Sears brand, but need to know what ammunition to buy.

It is a bolt action firearm. What caliber is it?

Thanks for any help.

gillsp, since it's a bolt action shotgun made by Stevens ( Model 37) the gauge should be marked on the barrel. It should be either 20 gauge ( not caliber ) or 410 gauge.
