When I was a kid (around 14) I got for a second gun a Glenfield model 75 22 cal semi-auto rifle. Now being 45 years old and just adopting three children 11, 8 and 7, I was cleaning my guns after a day at the range. While taking apart my now daughters' 22 I found a jury rig that I had done a few years after I got this 22. At first I couldn't remember ever working on this gun but it did come back to me. I don't remember anything but that it wouldn't shoot because I either lost or broke a spring or wire. Now I can't remember what the part looked like or how it mounted. Here are some pictures so maybe someone could help me figure this out. I've looked at some schematics but just can't see them good enough to make out what I need to order to fix it right. The piece in question is the spring that connects to the plastic piece called the buffer.

Thanks
Chris

Numrich's model 60 schematic is a bit clearer. Do you think it might be the disconnector spring?

I put some photos at the bottom of this page that might be of some help:

There is also a link to a Model 60 parts list/diagram .pdf on the page.

Again I must thank this forum for another fine job. I looked but could not find a good blowup of the parts (at least not that I could see) to pick out the right part. Yes it looks to be the disconnect spring which I will now order. Thank you both for the help (pictures of the other gun really helped) so I can order this so it doesn't ruin a trip to the range of Trinity.

Thanks again
Chris
