A friend of mine recently purchased a .22 rifle that I have never seen before. Would it be possible for someone to help me identify it for her? I do have a couple of pictures but I have not laid eyes on it as of yet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

LOL! I don't know what it is either, but I have one too! Not a name on it anywhere.

My brother worked for a dept. store chain a loooong time ago, and bought 2 or 3 of them, and a single shot .410 just like it. The .22's are worthless junk, mine died years ago, never could hit anything with it. I'm saving it for a "gun buyback program" if one ever comes around. That .410 kicked like a freakin' mule though, it has NO mass to absorb ANY recoil.

I hope your friend didn't pay much for it.

Categorize this one as an interesting wall hanger.

It is a Firearms International Bronco. Later sold by Garcia, then Bauer. Some were made in Spain but I think there was another source, maybe even US.

They were made in .22, .22 Magnum, .410 and a double combination .22-.410. Not a whole lot of gun.

The Bauer rifle is called the Bauer Rabbit, no joking, a play on words but that was the Model name:)

Just a couple posts down. How often does that happen without the words Smith and Wesson being involved, LOL?

I remember those things in gun shops and outdoor stores in the late 60's.

I bought the .410 shortly after they came out.
Picked up a .22 many years later.
Both are still working and I have killed grouse with the .410.

The .22 shoots pretty well for such a light gun. My sons and I were able to hit clay targets set up at about 30 yards with it without much trouble.

I had a chance to buy the Bauer .22/410 but didn't have the $80 the hardward store was asking back in the 1970s.
