Does anyone have load information for Trail Boss used with .357, 148gr LWC?
Thank you,
FWS

You can use 158gr load data available on the Hogdon's website. Use solid base WC's and make sure you don't compress the powder. TB probably isn't a good application for WC's, otherwise their would be data from the manufacturers.

You'll prolly find TB is a little too bulky for seating full wadcutters in a 357mag or 38spl.

IMO, H-Clays is more suited for that application. A very similar powder from the same manufacturer, very close burn rates, only a less bulkier form.

I've been using 2.5gr-3.0gr in 38/357mag 148gr/158gr lead target loads for many years, with excellent results.

Trail Boss starts acting funny when the loads get up there. They say not to compress it as well. It is designed for light loads with lead and is said to be great for that. I have tried it with plated bullets and as charges went up performance went down.

+1 for REM0-99. Clays works great for light loads in .357 cases with 148 Gr WC's and 158 Gr bullets. I have been useing 3.1 to 3.3 Grs though.

These loads are safe I my guns using my load procedure. Reduce 10% and work up. There is no load data I could find for this in .357 cases, just .38 cases.
