What a find! My new Mossberg 500

I am the proud owner of a Mossberg 500 12 gauge Slugster with a 24" smoothbore barrel. It is in excellent condition and I got it on sale for $155. :D

Are there modified mag tube caps that are fitted with a sling stud available for this particular model? I ask because I'm not sure if the current cap can be removed from the barrel lug.

Now off to the range!

Some of the mag tubes on 500A's are tapped for a screw. Is yours? Mine has one just behind the barrel "ring". I presume that could be used for a sling mount, though I've never tried.

the hole in the barrel ring is for a sling mount.
