Which is the recommended hand lube. No equipment here, just 500 cast boolits I bought on a whim from Craigslist.

Are they lubed and sized, at all? or just as cast?

You could just buy some Lee liquid Alox. Put your bullets in a butter bowl and put some Alox on them and tumble the bullets till their well coated. Take them out of the bowl and stand them up overnight on wax paper to dry.

If you size them after this then you'll need to do a second coat of alox but if your not resizing them then just load and shoot.

Pan lubing is another alternative. Make a lube from the link provided here and stand some bullets up in a small shallow bowl and melt and pour the lube up past the lube grooves and let setup. Then just push the bullets out of the lube and your good to go.

Before I started using a Lyman Lubrasizer press I just tumbled mine in Lee Alox then let them dry overnight then I tumbled them again in Johnson's Paste Wax to form a non sticky wax shell on the bullet that not only eliminated leading but actually kept the barrel cleaner.

Seems if they are not lubed, they are not sized either, as both operations are normally performed at the same time in a lubrisizer machine.

Best to measure them and figure out what you got.

If they are still over-size from the mold, Lee makes a very inexpensive bullet sizer that works in your loading press.

I'd go that route & liquid Alox for lube.
