Are there places online, clubs etc, that private reloaders get on and sell their ready-to-fire ammo? I haven't quite looked into getting into reloading just yet, so am curious if any such sites exist, especially for 25-06. Thanks

gunbroker and auctionarms have listings from people selling hand-reloads.

always a risk though.

do you really know what that person loaded?

are you willing to trust someone you never met and fire explosive projectiles?

I'd rather be safer and reload my own, or by retail ammo.

"Private reloaders" are not supposed to sell their ammunition. That is a business requiring an FFL.

Most people would recommend against buying other people's reloads. Too much risk involved. I agree.

Commercial reloaders on the other hand and fine in my book.

Collins Cartridge company in Conroe, TX. has about the best I've used. Their prices are very competitive and their shipping time is very quick.

Check their web site. They sell reloads from used brass as well as factory fresh using virgin brass and all ammo is SAAMI tested. Great people to do business with.

To trust a private reloader is risky at best.

"Private reloaders" are not supposed to sell their ammunition. That is a business requiring an FFL. + for a profit.

I can charge someone for reloading to recoup my supplies cost but can't charge for time or profit margin.

I agree it's very unsafe. I wouldn't even shoot ammo picked up off the range. Too many people are loading "major" and "+P" loads which your gun may not be able to withstand.

As for professional reloaders, I've had no problems with Georgia Arms ammo...

While I have no personal experience shooting ammo others have reloaded, a coworker does. He purchased a rifle on consignment that came with some reloads from the previous owner. The first shot was hot and blew out a part on the gun (extractor I think).

You just don't know the attention to detail, skill and common sense that other people have when loading ammo.

I have used both Collins Cartridge Co. and Georgia Arms - both make good ammo as far as I can tell. I prefer Georgia Arms, (pickup at their facility when I visit my son in north Georgia) but if you live east of the Mississippi shipping is probably cheaper from Collins.
